Did he really get fired for having open alcohol while he was working? Back in the days of Termite Terrace it was allowed just as long as you weren't "shit-faced" as the saying goes.
Oh well, a company's policy is its policy. No amount of screaming can change that (unless it's an unjust policy such as "no women or minorities" or some such thing).
